How to use Cards Abroad

Contact your bank: Let your bank know that you will be traveling abroad, the dates of your travel, and the countries you will be visiting. This will help to prevent any unexpected card blocks or transaction denials due to suspicious activity.

Check for foreign transaction fees: Find out if your bank charges foreign transaction fees for using your card abroad. If so, consider using a card that doesn’t charge these fees or withdrawing cash in the local currency instead.

Use ATMs: When withdrawing cash, use ATMs from banks that are affiliated with your bank’s network to avoid unnecessary fees. Be sure to check for any withdrawal limits as well.

Keep your card safe: Protect your card from theft or loss by keeping it in a secure place and not sharing your PIN with anyone.

Monitor your account: Check your account frequently for any unauthorized transactions or suspicious activity.
